The event was opened by H.E. Oliver Owcza, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Qatar. He emphasised that Qatar and Germany possess all the necessary elements to build an effective partnership in technological leadership, particularly in industrial AI and future technologies. Hakan Özdemir, CEO of Siemens Qatar and CEO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure in the Middle East, then welcomed the guests.
At the core of the event was the executive panel “From Infrastructure to Intelligence: How Industrial AI is Reshaping Qatar”, moderated by Hakan Özdemir. The panellists were Mohamed Ali Al-Ghaithani, Chief Executive Officer of Meeza, and Adel Ali Al-Malki, Senior Executive Vice President, Group Retail Banking, QNB Group.
The German Tech Talks are part of an initiative by the German Embassy to further strengthen more than 55 years of German-Qatari cooperation through knowledge exchange and technological partnership.
