Where our connections come from

Nine years at
the Studienkolleg

The German-Qatar Institute was founded by Ming Cheng, head of the state-recognised Studienkolleg Halle-Merseburg. For nine years, the SKHM has supported Qatari scholarship holders of Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This work has grown into long-standing personal and institutional ties between Germany and Qatar.
