The German-Qatar Institute (GQI) is an information and networking platform between Germany and Qatar. It makes information about institutions and opportunities accessible, brings people from both countries together through the German-Qatar Forums and supports suitable joint projects. The GQI was founded by Ming Cheng, head of the state-recognised Studienkolleg Halle-Merseburg, which has supported Qatari scholarship holders for nine years.
